Ingredients
- 2 ounce Bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1 ounce Freshly brewed Kona coffee (cooled to room temperature)
- ¼ ounce Simple syrup (or brown sugar syrup)
- 2 dash Orange bitters
- 2 dash Coffee or chocolate bitters
- Orange peel
- Coffee beans
Steps
- Brew and cool: Brew a strong cup of Kona coffee and let it cool completely to room temperature.
- Combine: Add the bourbon, cooled Kona coffee, simple syrup, and all dashes of bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir: Stir the mixture well for about 30 seconds until it is thoroughly chilled and properly diluted.
- Strain: Strain the drink into a rocks glass filled with a single large ice cube.
- Garnish: Gently squeeze the orange peel over the glass to release its natural oils, rub the peel along the rim, and drop it into the drink along with a few whole coffee beans.
