Platefolio is getting better all the time. Here's what's being built now, what comes next, and what's further out. A recipe box is meant to last, so this one is going to keep growing for a long while yet.

Working on now

Sharing: Share a recipe or a cookbook with friends and family, or post one out to your followers wherever you already share things. Whoever opens it gets the real recipe, not a signup page.
Households: Invite the people you cook with. Everyone gets their own account, with the same recipes and cookbooks in it. A recipe box should belong to a kitchen, not to one login.
Import improvements: Paste, link, and photo import all keep getting better at reading what you give them, so less of a recipe is left for you to type in by hand.

Coming

Units and scaling: Cups to grams, and doubling a recipe without doing fractions in your head over a hot pan.
Apps for your phone: Same account, same recipes, nothing retyped.

Thinking about

Cook what you have: Search by what's in the fridge instead of by the name of a dish you already decided on.
Shopping lists: Send a recipe's ingredients to a list, and watch it tick down as somebody else in the house shops it.
Meal planning: A week at a time, with the shopping list falling out of it rather than typed twice.

What won't be on this list

No ads, ever. Your recipes aren't training data and aren't for sale. Nothing you've already put in gets moved behind a paywall later. And if you want everything you've entered back as a plain file, ask and it'll be sent to you.
