This policy covers anything you upload, import, or publish through Platefolio: recipe text, photos, and cookbook content.
A recipe's ingredient list and its steps are, on their own, largely not copyrightable. The headnote, the photos, and the surrounding prose usually are. Importing someone else's recipe for your own use is fine. Republishing their photos or their writing as your own is not.
If you believe your copyrighted work has been republished here without permission, contact us with the recipe or page in question and a description of the work it copies.
Making a recipe or cookbook public means anyone with the link can open it. Appearing on the Recipes page, in suggestions on other pages, or in search engines is separate, and is at our discretion. We may choose not to feature content that doesn't break this policy. It stays available to anyone you share the link with.
Every public recipe has a Report button that flags it for a moderator to review. That is the quickest way to report something you have come across.
You can also email contact@platefolio.app. Include a link to the page or recipe and a short description of what's wrong. Copyright complaints should identify the original work and the page that copies it.
Content that violates this policy can be removed or unpublished. Accounts that violate it can be suspended or terminated, with their stored files deleted.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here.
