Leave a household or remove someone

What happens to everyone's recipes when someone leaves a shared household.

Recipes belong to the person who added them. When someone leaves or is removed, every recipe and cookbook they added moves with them into a new household of their own, photos and categories included. The household they left no longer has them.

Leave a household

1. Go to Settings, under Household.
2. Choose Leave household, then Yes, leave.

The recipes and cookbooks you added go with you. You lose access to everything else in the household, including recipes other people added.

Remove someone

Only the owner can remove people.

1. Go to Settings, under Household.
2. Choose the trash button next to their name, then Yes, remove.

They lose access right away, and the recipes and cookbooks they added go with them, so your household no longer has them. Removing someone can’t be undone, but you can invite them again.
